UK-based botanically brewed soft drinks and mixers company, Fentimans has launched its popular collection in new 125ml bottles for the on-trade.
The Hexham-based company has built up a strong reputation in the consumer market for its range of premium soft drinks and mixers which include, Traditional Ginger Beer, Victorian Lemonade and Curiosity Cola. The 275ml and 750ml measures are available to purchase from supermarkets, farm shops and delicatessens across the UK.
The 125ml bottles designed for the on-trade create perfect measures of classics such as gin&tonic or rum&cola; and show stopping cocktails including the Moscow Mule and Dark&Stormy. The new range also allows mixologists and bar staff to experiment with the flavour of Fentimans’ mixers to develop their own creations.
To celebrate the launch, renowned Belgian mixologist Manuel Wouters has created his own menu of Fentimans inspired cocktails. His inventions transform classics with a Fentimans twist such as the Curious Russian – a combination of Ketel One Vodka, Kahlua and Fentimans Curiosity Cola garnished with a slice of lemon; and Hendrick’s Rose Fizz – Hendrick’s gin mixed with fresh lemon juice and Fentimans Rose Lemonade with a cucumber garnish.
Mark Robinson, product manager at Fentimans, said: “Fentimans has concentrated on producing the highest quality soft drinks and mixers for the consumer market. We’ve built up an extensive list of UK stockists which spans large supermarket chains to independent premium stores, not to mention an ever expanding collection of international stockists.
“With this strong position in the consumer market, we felt now was the right time to expand into the on-trade. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to demonstrate to bars, hotels and restaurants just how versatile our premium drinks are through this new range.”
The Fentimans collection of soft drinks and mixers available to order in 125ml measures includes:
Each mixer is made using Fentimans’ botanical brewing process which begins by boiling water and pear juice in small steel tanks. The boiled liquid is then infused with a unique combination of botanicals including kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, orris root and juniper berries.
Once strained and cooled, the liquid is transferred to fermenting vessels where yeast is added to the mixture and left to ferment for two days.
Excess yeast is removed and natural ingredients and flavourings are combined with the mixture alongside carbonated water to create each Fentimans’ drink. The time honoured process is unchanged from the company’s beginnings in 1905.
