British tea brand Tetley have launched a selection of fruit and herbal tea blends exclusively marketed at the foodservice sector.
Tetley claims that its Mood Infusions range will “allow caterers to serve the right tea for the right moment” and features four individual varieties – Calm, Serenity, Warmth and Pick Me Up – to suit four different moods. The blends are made using authentic ingredients and are all naturally caffeine-free.
Tetley Serenity is described as “an uplifting choice” and mixes lemon balm, honey, red clover, elderflower and sarsaparilla root; Pick Me Up is packed full of vibrant fruit flavours including strawberries, cherries, raspberries and apples; Tetley Warmth is a blend of orange blossom, cinnamon, star anise, cardamom and cloves; while Calm overlays camomile with hints of lemon and liquorice.
To enhance its sales relationship with the industry, Tetley has released a food pairing suggestion for each of the blends, matching them with compatible meals and snacks. According to Tetley, like-for-like sales of fruit teas increased by 19% from September 2012 to September 2013 with herbal teas performing similarly well.
