Pioneering tea brand Hampstead Tea has revamped its range of bio-dynamic, organic and Fairtrade teas to drive relevancy and appeal amongst consumers and secure strong in-store standout.
The range will be bolstered by two additional hot tea varieties: cocoa green, a smooth and rich blend of premium whole-leaf Darjeeling green tea and cocoa; plus strong English breakfast tea, a “robust” combination of Assam and East African teas.
The new-look range is rolling out this month and has a clean and clear feel, reflective of the premium quality of the tea and the natural sourcing of the ingredients. Innovative ingredients are championed on pack with distinctive flavour descriptions to appeal to a growing number of consumers seeking alternative teas with a point of difference; sales of speciality teas rose 15% to £63m between 2012 and 2014, according to figures cited by the brand.
As part of the re-launch the core Hampstead Tea range has also been revitalised, with fresh and improved taste profiles.
Hampstead Tea head of marketing Mark Nicholls said: “At Hampstead Tea we are passionate about the purity of the source and believe only the best and highest quality organic, bio-dynamic and Fairtrade [tea] should be used where available. This commitment ensures that we deliver great tasting products using a sustainable and ethical process, for ultimate piece of mind.
“Our refreshed range appeals to a new generation of tea drinkers who are recognising the added health benefits of drinking bio-dynamic teas and are keen to expand and diversify their palates, whilst not compromising on taste. Together with our new look we are confident the new products will be well received and will offer our customers a strong sales opportunity.”
