British bakery brand Honeybuns has launched a new fruit and nut bar – packed with nuts, fruits and seeds.
Free from gluten and dairy and low in refined sugars, the new products “tastes like a cake, not a health bar”, the Dorset-based company said. It combines cranberries, cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, date paste and free range eggs for “a moistness that is often lacking in similar cakes”.
It is also the first product to feature the brand’s new packaging, which has been rebranded with a fresh, clean look.
It has been designed to address the lack of cakes that are not only healthy, but that taste like a treat too, Honeybuns said.
Honeybuns founder and owner Emma Goss-Custard said: “We are delighted to introduce the first of our next generation of Honeybuns cakes. They taste amazingly decadent but are in fact dairy-free, gluten-free and sweetened with natural fruits.”
Available to the trade in regular 75g individual slices and 950g traybakes, the new bar has a shelf-life of 21 days.
