Onken has added a new flavour to its wholegrain range of yogurts.
The new redcurrant and blackcurrant wholegrain yogurt has been rolled out in stores across the UK with a recommended retail price of £1.40. Available in a 450g format, the fat-free yogurt is made with skimmed milk, real fruit chunks and five crunchy grains: barley, oats, rye, wheat and rice.
Catering to growing consumer demand for healthier yogurt options, the new grain-inspired product is the third wholegrain offering from Onken after the strawberry and apricot flavours launched previously.
Laura Graham, head of marketing for brand owner Emmi UK, commented: “Since introducing wholegrain yogurt to the category nearly 20 years ago, the range has been well received by our consumers. We are always listening to feedback and wanted to launch a new flavour that taps into the growing trend for healthier yogurt options, that doesn’t compromise on taste.”
The new wholegrain redcurrant and blackcurrant yogurt is available in Tesco, Waitrose and Nisa stores.
