As an official supporter, Highland Spring will acquire a range of benefits. These include having a strong presence at the LTA international tour events throughout June, and naming rights to the interactive tennis roadshow, which will travel across the UK to promote the sport and engage the wider community in tennis. The brand also becomes the ‘official water’ of British tennis.
Sally Stanley, marketing director of Highland Spring, said: “Highland Spring is a long-term supporter of sport at a national and international level, and we’re delighted to be strengthening our links with British tennis as the sport enters an exciting new phase in its development. The more we can encourage youngsters to try tennis, the better, and our association with the LTA will enable us to do just that.”
Roger Draper, chief executive of the LTA, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Highland Spring on board as an official supporter. We have developed a strong relationship with them over the last couple of years and it’s great that they have increased their commitment to British tennis by not only agreeing to a five-year deal, but by supporting a broad range of activities within the sport.”
Highland Spring is exclusive beverage sponsor of Andy Murray, Britain’s number one tennis player and world number four. The tennis ace displays the brand logo on his shirt sleeve and drinks Highland Spring as part of his dietary regime. The company also sponsors ‘Team Murray’, comprising his brother Jamie (2007 Wimbledon mixed doubles champion) and mum Judy Murray, one of the UK’s leading coaches.
