Zentis Polska’s top-cup packaging has been used in a new product by Hungarian company Saga Foods, developed in connection with the European Championship, which is currently taking place in France.
The product has been advertised as “a new player on the field” and contains mustard in the top cup, while the plastic packaging itself is full of smoked frankfurters in the shape and design of footballs.
Its launch has been supported with special advertising, which encourages consumers to support the Hungarian national team. This means that matches at Euro 2016 are not only an occasion to drink beer, but are also an excellent opportunity to eat sausages with mustard, Saga Foods said. The top-cup with mustard has been made with the convenience of consumers watching Euro 2016 matches in mind.
Ireneusz Lichota, president of Zentis Polska, said: “Our top-cup has been developed for use with dairy products, but the fact that they are used by Saga Foods proves that they can be used in different categories. This encourages us to search for the next categories, where top-cup can be used.
“Top-cup is another of our innovations, this time in the field of packaging. Other novelties will appear in the category of raw materials for beverages.”
