US beverage brand Stubborn Soda has launched its new line of bottled crafted sodas, available in five “bold and unexpected” flavour combinations.
There are five different drinks, each providing a twist on traditional flavours: there’s black cherry with tarragon, orange-hibiscus, agave vanilla cream soda, classic root beer, and lemon berry açaí.
Each 12oz glass bottle of Stubborn Soda will contain between 90 and 100 calories, and is made with Fairtrade cane sugar and stevia. The drinks are also made with natural flavours and are free from high-fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners.
“Stubborn Soda is the next generation of carbonated soft drinks,” claimed the company’s marketing director, Megan Gagnon. “We gave it that name because we don’t compromise on our ingredients, flavours or the way the product is experienced. We use only quality ingredients and flavours, and we’ve worked hard to create the ultimate experience – from the way the beverage is poured to the perfect finishing garnish – to bring fans a product they’re proud to drink and share.”
To spread its tagline – “it’s good to be stubborn” – the brand has partnered with Robert Kirkman, creator and executive producer of The Walking Dead and Outcast, as well as Skybound Entertainment.
Kirkman kicked off the partnership in San Diego during Skybound’s Twitch live stream in July. Launching later this year, the brand will feature Kirkman and Skybound Entertainment creators in a content series that profiles how these individuals brought their passions to life and were willing to disrupt convention in order to achieve better results. The videos will go live on Stubborn Soda’s social channels.
“It’s no surprise I am stubborn about my creative process, which is why I like what the Stubborn brand is all about,” said Kirkman. “They are helping us tell the real, gritty stories of some of the best creators who aren’t afraid to go against conventional means.”
Stubborn Soda will be available at major retailers across the US from 8 August.
