Plant-based food and drink producer Alpro has launched a new range of cream alternatives for use within recipes.
New Alpro Coconut Cuisine features just 100 calories and less than 9g of fat in every 100ml, making it a healthier substitute for cream in dishes such as fragrant Thai green curry and vegetable kormas. It can also be poured over fruits and desserts, as well as stirred through pasta dishes.
To coincide with the launch, the Belgium-based company has embarked on a new marketing initiative that will offer consumers the chance to win a carton of each of its plant-based cream alternatives, as well as one of ten deep-sided, non-stick woks to help them create their own kitchen masterpiece.
Coconut Cuisine joins the existing Rice Cuisine variety, as well as the newly redesigned Single Soya cream alternative, which features 42% less fat than single cream.
A spokesperson for the brand said: “Light in texture, but rich in taste, the possibilities are endless with our range of plant-based alternatives to cream.”
