Whole Earth Sweetener Company is hoping its new generation of stevia products, which are ‘derived from nature’, will be a hit with UK consumers.
The American company’s latest range is the result of innovation from its long-term strategic partner PureCircle, giving access to high performing steviol glycosides from the stevia plant.
Whole Earth Sweetener Company marketing manager Simona Mantovani said: “With the government recently highlighting the effects of high sugar consumption, Britons are becoming more aware of the need for different sweetening options. Taste is often a common barrier to those seeking alternatives and we are excited for UK consumers to try Whole Earth Sweetener Co. products. The range is perfect for those looking for sweetness derived from nature.”
The company hopes its granules, mini cubes and honey will offer a sweet solution for all occasions. The brown cane with stevia complements the natural sweetness of the stevia leaf with cane sugar to create gold crunchy crystals. Half the quantity is needed for the same sweetness as regular sugar.
Meanwhile, the honey and stevia blend is a first to enter the UK sweetener market, and designed for porridge, fruit, yogurt and hot drinks. Half as much is needed for the same sweetness as regular honey but with 50% fewer calories.
Whole Earth Sweetener Company launched in 2016 with a range of products derived from nature, including zero calorie and reduced calorie options to appeal for those seeking sugar substitutes derived from nature.
