The deal, which comes into effect next year, will coincide with the 25th anniversary of The Simpsons, the same year that Beechdean celebrates its 25th year in business.
Andrew Howard, MD, Beechdean Ice Cream Group, said: “We are incredibly excited about introducing our next generation of licensed products inspired by The Simpsons. It’s such a truly fantastic brand with broad generational appeal, that will enable us to genuinely compete with the mainstream ice cream brands in the market today. It has the potential to be a multimillion pound range in the next two to three years.”
The 85ml products will be produced using Beechdean’s newly acquired lolly machine and moulds, and will be available in Raspberry and Strawberry flavours with an RRP of £0.90p.
The new products are expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2014 and will benefit from ‘a sizeable marketing campaign’ as part of Beechdean’s ongoing investment in its brands, as well as coinciding with the 25th Anniversary global celebrations of The Simpsons.
