US-based Better Body has launched a new range of healthy baking products to the UK, targeted at consumers who are particularly concerned with maintaining their health and wellbeing.
The range includes new agave with fibre, black chia seeds, coconut flour, coconut palm sugar, naturally refined coconut oil, extra virgin coconut oil – all organic – and original and chocolate varieties of its PB Fit powdered peanut butter. The products have been made available exclusively from natural foods wholesaler Tree of Life.
New PB Fit is described as “a low-fat powder that is full of flavour with a fraction of the calories of traditional peanut butter”. It is available in 225g and 425g jars with a recommended retail price of £4.50 and £7.85 respectively; it combines gently roasted peanuts and a pinch of sugar and salt, with 75% of the oil extracting during the manufacturing process.
The range also includes 450ml and 830ml formats of its new organic, naturally refined coconut oil, which the brand claimed is ideal for savoury cooking; and fibre-rich, protein-rich, omega 3-high black chia seeds, which are available in 560g packs and can be used to top salads, yogurts, smoothies, and give a healthy boost to any baked recipe.
Tree of Life marketing manager Kirsten Sowerby said: “Better Body is an established brand in the US with a reputation for high quality and great tasting products that enable people to eat more healthily and save calories. Whether you have a food intolerance or are simply looking to improve your health through the food you eat, BetterBody makes switching from traditional flour, oil or sugar to these healthy alternatives easy without the need to compromise on taste.”
