Bunge Loders Croklaan (BLC), the edible oils business of Bunge Limited, plans to meet growing demand in China with a new processing plant in Xiamen.
The new facility will expand BLC’s ability to deliver plant-based specialty oils and fats ingredients for the food and foodservice industry. Reflecting BLC’s commitment to working closely together with its customers, the facility also includes a Creative Studio, designed to develop innovative ingredient and food solutions for the Chinese market.
Bunge International acquired a 70% stake in oils producer IOI Loders Croklaan in March last year, with the new brand joining Bunge’s Food & Ingredients division as Bunge Loders Croklaan. The deal aimed to diversify Bunge’s product portfolio, allowing the company to supply new products to customers in the food processing, industrial and artisanal bakery, confectionery, human nutrition and food service segments.
