The two new varieties, Spicy Chorizo and Red Pepper & Jalapeño, are both firsts for the premium snacks category.
The trend for hot and spicy products is driving the hot sauce category, with sales up 15%.
“The new flavours have been months in development at the Burts factory in Plymouth,” said marketing director Leane Bramhall. “We’ve focused on perfecting the authenticity of flavour, using valuable customer feedback to make alterations to the taste to ensure that the products prove a hit with consumers.
“Since relaunching our packaging and website in January, we’ve been overwhelmed by the great response and so we’re confident that Spicy Chorizo and Red Pepper & Jalapeño will prove a big hit with consumers.”
Price for a 40g packet is RRP 69p, while a 150g packet is RRP £1.89.
