London craft beer maker Camden Town Brewery will launch a new limited-edition summer lager this August.
Strawberry Hells Forever combines Camden Town’s crisp, refreshing Hells lager with fresh, handpicked British strawberries for a small-batch lager that is described as tart, crisp and refreshing.
The new beers contains handpicked Essex strawberries and is made with mosaic, simcoe and peele hops – as well as pilsner and wheat malts – with an ABV of 4.65%.
The development of Strawberry Hells Forever was helped by a day spent picking strawberries on a farm in Essex, which provided inspiration for the bottle illustration, designed by London-based artist Jay Cover. Presented in 500ml printed glass bottles, Strawberry Hells Forever will be available online and offered on tap in Camden’s own bars.
Jasper Cuppaidge, founder of Camden Town Brewery, commented: “We have so much fun making Strawberry Hells Forever. From the great day out picking strawberries with the whole team, to kicking back in the sun enjoying it later in the summer, this special take on our favourite lager truly encapsulates summer and Camden for us.”
