Campbell Soup Company has said that it “is innovating the shelf-stable juice category” with the introduction of four new fruit and vegetable juice drinks to its V8 brand.
The product’s healthy greens, purple power, golden goodness and carrot-mango varieties are low in sugar, contain only natural ingredients and register at 60 or fewer calories per serving. Available in 12oz and 46oz packaging formats, the new drinks are available for $1 and $3.99 respectively from major grocery and convenience retailers across the US.
The new line also boasts the antioxidant vitamins A, C and E and – with 75% real fruit juice and no added sugars, preservatives or artificial ingredients – provides consumers with one serving of vegetables.
Kelli McCusker, vice president of beverage at Campbell’s, said: “With this new line, we set out to meet the changing tastes and healthier lifestyle needs of consumers by delivering juice blends that are delicious, with a more desirable ingredient panel, namely the presence of vegetable nutrition.
“We love the ‘juicing’ trend because that is what we have always been about at V8. This launch combines our vegetable blending heritage with a growing behavior and brings it to consumers in accessible, affordable and delicious ways so everyone can participate.”
