Thai energy drink brand Carabao is expanding its range of energy drinks by introducing a new mandarin Orange flavoured drink for the UK market.
Available from selected UK retailers from 2 April, Carabao Mandarin Orange will be packaged in 330ml cans and will have a suggested retail price of £1.19 per can, and the drink itslef will be exempt from the UK sugar tax, according to the brand.
The brand created the orange flavour as it claims the flavour is one of the most popular in the soft drinks market, and thus the brand wanted to capitalise on this consumer demand.
Mark Young, managing director of Intercarabao UK comments: “The launch of Carabao Mandarin Orange is another exciting milestone for us, as we continue our mission to provide a variety of great-tasting energy drinks for consumers to enjoy.
“We know that category growth is being driven primarily by flavours and low-sugar products like Carabao Green Apple, so we expect the new variant to be just as successful and well-loved as our other products.”
Carabao also announced that it will invest £30 million in a marketing campaign across a variety of platforms including football sponsorship, TV advertising and more, as it seeks to establish itself as a key player in the UK’s energy drinks market.
