Chinese water brand Nongfu Spring has adopted a new packaging design from London-based creative agency Horse.
The redesign has been introduced in a bid to increase the Zhejiang-based company’s appeal to younger consumers, and features illustrations from artist Brett Ryder. The four playful and vibrant label designs fuse wildlife and nature – such as the bear holding a fishing net and staring longingly up at a tree of fish, the lynx perched in an ice skate with its scarf being blown in the wine, or the butterfly flying off with a tuxedoed frog.
The designs draw on the ecology of the mineral water’s source, and the bottle also incorporates a patented sports closure technology that is designed to eliminate leaks and spillages.

Horse creative partner Sarah Pidgeon said: “The label design imaginatively brings the natural world of the water source to life in a way that appeals to young people.”
