German food company Dr. Oetker is to add three new flavours to its pizza range in Australia this October: chocolate, Bianca and nachos.
The Ristorante Dolce Al Cioccolato, which Dr. Oetker launched in Europe earlier this year, is a chocolate version of Ristorante’s thin and crispy crust, topped with gooey chocolate sauce, milk chocolate flakes, and dark and white chocolate chunks.
Dr. Oetker said it can be served on its own or with fruit and ice cream to make it into an after-dinner dessert. The company is simultaneously launching Pizza Bianca Carne e Patata. This flavour includes crunchy potato chips, ham, red onions and mozzarella cheese on a creamy white sauce. It is made with sour cream instead of the standard tomato base.
Finally, Dr. Oetker-owned Papa Giuseppi’s will launch a new nachos variety as part of its Bakehouse Crust range.
This limited-edition option, to replace the cheeseburger flavour, is topped with spicy pork, kidney beans, sweetcorn, red and green capsicum, corn chips, sour cream, cheese and herbs on a spicy tomato sauce.
Dr. Oetker frozen marketing manager Paula Wyatt said: “Ristorante has started to change consumer expectations by delivering an authentic pizzeria taste and we will continue to do so by launching new exciting flavours.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring yet more choice to the local market, and these ground breaking introductions are testament to Dr. Oetker’s promise to deliver premium quality, delicious flavours that reinvigorate this food category.”
The Ristorante Dolce Al Cioccolato and Bianca Carne e Patata will be sold with a recommended retail price of AUD 7.50 ($5.97) and the nachos flavour at AUD 7.99 ($6.36).
