Clearspring has added four new matcha blends to its organic Japanese tea bag range and has relaunched its entire portfolio in sustainable packaging.
The new flavours – which include Matcha Ginger, Matcha Three Mint, Matcha Genmaicha and Matcha Turmeric – have been carefully curated to complement the subtle notes of matcha.
The new flavours join existing varieties such as Japanese Sencha, Genmaicha, Hojicha and Kukicha, and are organic, non-GM, and free-from added sugar and artificial ingredients.
Maria Dawson, director at Clearspring said: “The demand for matcha has grown immensely over the past few years. Our matcha blends have been launched to meet this demand, whilst adding something exciting with new flavour combinations.
“Fans of matcha can now start their day with a refreshing and uplifting Organic Matcha Three Mint, have a warming Matcha Ginger or Matcha Turmeric midday tea and finish the day with a more soothing Matcha Genmaicha.”
In line with the additions to its portfolio, Clearspring has launched its entire tea bag range in entirely sustainable packaging with a new design.
Each tea bag is compostable and non-GM and the string is made of organic cotton. Meanwhile, the outer carton is made of recyclable FSC certified paperboard and printed using vegetable-based ink.
Dawson added: “This launch is another big milestone for Clearspring in our mission towards sustainable packaging. Sustainability is an increasingly important factor for shoppers, and we want to do everything we can to meet this challenge, whilst continuing to innovate and deliver great tasting products.”
The new blends will be available to purchase from a variety of stores in the UK for an RRP of £3.69.
