Spanish winemaker Codorníu Raventós has announced a two-year partnership with chef José Pizarro, who will act as an ambassador for the Codorníu brand in the UK and increase its access to Pizarro’s three restaurants in London.
There will be a branded Anna Blanc de Blancs terrace – named after Codorníu’s leading cava brand – at Pizarro’s new restaurant at the Broadgate Circle development near Liverpool Street Station. Pizarro will also showcase both Anna Blanc de Blancs cava and a range of still wines from the Codorníu portfolio at his tapas bar and restaurant – both on Bermondsey Street in South East London.
The announcement continues a working relationship that was first forged between Codorníu and Pizarro in 2013.
José Pizarro said: “I am delighted to continue working with Codorníu on some really exciting projects including the Anna Blanc de Blancs terrace at my new restaurant. It is amazing to partner with a Spanish brand that I love and that represents both great value and great quality.”
Codorníu Raventos UK managing director Simon Bradbury said: “José is the leading Spanish chef in the UK and his star is still rising. He has a natural synergy with our brand. It’s exciting to have him on board to help us grow the Codorníu brand in the UK over the next few years.”
