Coldpress already trades in the UK, but is planning to expand into Europe, Asia and North America in the next year. The company has recently won significant new listings with UK retailers and has appointed distributors in France, Dubai and Spain.
Established two years ago, Coldpress has experienced rapid growth. It sells a selection of ‘cold pressure process’ juices in most UK supermarkets, including Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, The Co-Operative and through online supermarket Ocado. It was awarded The Grocer’s New Product Adult Drink and FoodBev.com Best Innovator in 2012.
Andrew Gibb at Coldpress Foods said: “We are really excited to have secured the funding for our latest expansion plans. The premium fruit juice market is growing rapidly in the UK and other markets as consumers look to healthier and more nutritious beverages. The opportunity for Coldpress is enormous. We are delighted that Santander have embraced our vision. Their support already has been outstanding.”
