US-based Conagra Brands has acquired sandwich manufacturer Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin in a deal which will be completed in early 2018.
Sandwich Bros of Wisconsin produces a variety of frozen breakfast and entrée flatbread sandwiches for on-the-go consumers.
The brand’s sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients such as 100% Angus beef, Wisconsin cheese and chicken which is raised without the use of antibiotics.
Sean Connolly, president and chief executive officer of Conagra Brands said: “Adding the Sandwich Bros. business to our portfolio is another step in Conagra Brands’ ongoing work to accelerate growth.
“This acquisition will bring Conagra unique capabilities and expertise within the frozen handheld category, which we look forward to leveraging for further growth and extension into additional Conagra brands.”
George Kashou, founder and co-owner of Sandwich Bros. added: “We are very pleased with Conagra’s shared enthusiasm of Sandwich Bros. and know they have the resources and expertise to continue our legacy.

Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin recorded net sales of around $60 million for the twelve months ending November 2017.
