Cott UK’s parent company, Cott Corporation, is currently the world’s largest retailer brand soft drink provider. Cott UK has led the UK retailer brand and own-brand soft drink industry with its company owned brands, now including Ben Shaws and Red Rooster, as well as producing hundreds of branded and own-label products across three sites in the UK.
Bare All is Cott UK’s new range of Juicy Waters and Squash aimed at parents looking for fun, healthy drinks for their family at affordable prices. Bare All uses only four key ingredients across the range: water, fruit juices, sugar and natural flavouring, and boasts “no nasties”, which means no preservatives, no artificial flavours, no artificial colours and no sweeteners in any of the drinks. (This means all Bare All drinks must be kept in the fridge after opening.)
Bare All will be available as Juicy Waters (flavours include Citrus, Summer Berries and Tropical), priced from 89p for one litre, and Squash (Apple & Blackcurrant, Orange and Summer Berries) priced from 99p for one litre. Both variants will be available in selected Tesco stores from April, with an introductory, month-long 20p off promotion.
Suzanne Glancy, marketing & NPD director for Bare All, said: “The range was developed following some extensive research we conducted with families on the soft drinks category, which revealed a gap in the market for healthier, cleaner soft drinks that offer value for money without compromising on taste. Consumers want the best of both worlds, but often have to compromise between healthy and affordable offerings. Bare All fits the balance perfectly, offering a range of delicious, 100% natural drinks at an everyday, affordable price.
“Blind taste tests conducted with Bare All show that it outperforms leading competitor brands, demonstrating perfectly the product’s success in achieving a delicious fruity drink, which is clean, natural and free from nasties.”
The brand’s launch will be supported by a microsite, which includes downloads and interactive elements. Bare All will also be placing an advertisement in Tesco’s consumer magazine, and running a consumer PR campaign in national and women’s consumer press with Toast PR.
Bare All will be produced at the company’s production facility in Nelson on its state of the art, preservative-free aseptic manufacturing facility.
