Crown Aerosols and Specialty Packaging Europe has worked with Premier Foods to produce new premium packaging for its Bisto brand of gravy.
Premier Foods chose the metal tins to distinguish the Bisto container on retail shelves and increase both engagement and purchase among consumers. Capturing shoppers’ attention with visual elements is a time-tested method of effective branding and metal acts as the perfect substrate to strengthen brand recognition and differentiation, Crown said.
The vibrant, bright red tin utilises the latest advancements in varnishing and high-quality inks to bring rich elements of design to life, making the tin highly recognisable.
A matte finish is applied to the entire package, which creates a silky smooth feel and improving the consumer’s physical interaction with the product. It has been shown that a consumer is more likely to purchase a product after picking it up off the retail shelf, and importantly, this physical interaction can drive top-line growth for brand owners.
Like all metal packaging, the specially crafted container is 100% recyclable. As a permanent material, metal’s recycling infrastructure is more firmly established than that of any other packaging material, helping brands to minimise product waste.
The tins are boldly emblazoned with the brand’s Aah! Bisto slogan for a retro yet modern appearance, which can also be displayed and reused for storage or as a worthy keepsake, prolonging the consumers’ exposure to the brand.
