The product has been developed using cured pork for a sweeter taste and is topped with a crunchy lattice pasty that offers a ‘lighter’ eating experience.
The product is available in two different formats: as a medium pie (RSP £2.00) and also as a mini variant in a pack of four (RSP £1.65). It will be launched in the UK in September.
“We’re pleased to be adding the Crunchy Lattice Pork Pie to our portfolio,” said Chris Peters, managing director. “Our insight has demonstrated that there was a gap in the market for a cured meat pork pie. This product has been developed to appeal to the female shopper who is often looking for a less peppery product.”
