Cheese supplier Dairygold Food Ingredients UK (DFI) has launched its mozzarella cheese in a new stick format, designed to help foodservice operators.
The 2.25kg mozzarella sticks are “ideal for multiple usage occasions” as they will enable food retailers to dice, slice or grate the product to suit their own specifications, DFI said. It added that they were particularly suited to Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta, or for inclusion as a topping on burgers.
Svitlana Binns, customer relationship manager for DFI, said: “DFI prides itself on creating practical, innovative solutions to help foodservice operators deliver high quality, appealing and cost effective dishes.
“We know that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to ingredient requirements – and that’s why we have launched a new format which operators can tailor to suit their own menus.
“The new mozzarella sticks are also compact and stackable, making them ideal for foodservice outlets where refrigeration space is limited.
“Mozzarella is a staple ingredient for foodservice outlets due to its mild, delicate, milky taste which complements a wide variety of dishes.
“Using the right format for each application is key to delivering the best tasting dishes – and DFI’s mozzarella stick means that, with just one product, operators can choose a different format for each dish they create.”
