Digital labels leader CS Labels has announced the development of a new digital heat transfer process, as part of “aggressive growth plans”.
The digital heat transfer process works in conjunctions with CS Labels’ existing Xeikon digital presses, and integrates the digital printing of high quality graphics on to a clear film carrier with the application of a “unique adhesive”. The image is then transferred to the surface or product using a separate applicator machine, offering a consistent and high-quality “no label” appearance.
The Xeikon technology is capable of printing at a speed of 14m per minute and offers a maximum imaging width of 322mm. The process offers quick and easy personalisation with short lead times.
CS Labels claimed that the new technology was “ideal for cosmetics, pens, point of sale items, ice buckets, sports bottles, drinks bottles and lipstick tubes and the process means they are ideal for multi varieties.”
