Label manufacturer CS Labels has launched a new wrap-around style label with peel-and-reveal functionality.
The new label offers food manufacturers increased text capacity on small surfaces. It provides “a cost-effective alternative to the traditional method, which involves several labels adhered to each other to form a layered effect,” CS Labels said.
The company added: “It is a long label that is constructed so that it can wrap around itself when applied to a product. The lead portion of the label can be peeled away and then re-adhered by the user. The labels can be printed on both sides if required.”
Its introduction is timely in relation to major label law changes affecting the food and chemical industries, and the announcement was made just one day after the company launched a new digital heat transfer process for the printing of graphics onto clear film.
Production director Adam James said: “Peel and reveal labels offer clients the ability to fit extra information on to their products or offer a lot of information within a small space. They are crease free when wrapped around cylindrical items, which can be particularly useful for small products such as cosmetics. This new variation complements our existing peel and reveal labels and can be a suitable alternative for certain applications. It is a low cost alternative and lead times are also shorter than the traditional type due to the fact that the construction is completely different.”
