Maple water brand DrinkMaple will this month launch two new packaging formats with an updated brand design, as it continues to pursue a leading position in the UK’s maple water market.
The firm has launched a new 355ml re-sealable on-the-go bottle, as well as a 1l offering to establish the product as a household ingredient. Both feature the brand’s new packaging design, which introduces greater colour and has been introduced to give the brand a more striking on-shelf presence.
DrinkMaple is made using the sap of North American maple trees, billed as the only organic product of its kind with nothing added. It contains just 20 calories per 250ml serving and has half the amount of sugar as coconut water. It also features 46 individual different nutrients and is sustainably sourced, direct from the tree every April.
The producer has confirmed “deeper distribution” with retailers Harrods, Selfridges, Partridges, Whole Foods and Planet Organic in the UK, following an earlier listing in Harvey Nichols.
Brand manager Alicia Cooper said: “Maple water has seen real success in the US market and we’re really pleased to be launching and strengthening the range here in the UK. We’ve been blown away by retailer and consumer interest in the brand to date, which shows there is a real appetite for natural, healthy alternatives in the drinks market. We are confident the trend for maple water is here to stay.”
