The collaboration with the Society will help raise money for breast cancer awareness through sales of bottled water. A minimum of $1m, related to the sale of Athena, will go to support breast cancer awareness, education and research by 2014.
In addition to raising money through the sale of bottled water, Athena will also serve as a water sponsor for several American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events around the country.
Athena bottled water was created by cancer survivor Trish May to raise funds for breast cancer research, awareness, and education. Since its beginning in 2003, a portion of the proceeds of every bottle of Athena sold has been contributed to this important cause.
