Ember Snacks has announced that it is launching three new charcuterie meat snacks in the UK in January 2021.
The three new flavours – cracked black pepper steak slices, smoked paprika lean pork salami and wild venison slices – are made using meat sourced from British farms and cured using a traditional charcuterie process.
According to Ember, one of the main priorities in crafting the range was controlling fat content. To achieve this, the brand incorporated quinoa into the meat mix, which reportedly helps to create a product that is 50% lower in fat and 40% higher in protein “compared to similar products on the market.”
Ember also states that the meat used for the products is also sourced from farms which are dedicated to limiting their environmental impact by using farming methods such as ar rotational grazing.
Ember founders Harry and Jack Mayhew, said: “We can’t wait to introduce our new products to UK consumers. The product development has been a real journey for us and we are proud to have achieved a great tasting product that is also better for our customers and the environment.”
All three flavours in the new range will be available in the UK from Sainsbury’s stores from 2nd January 2021.
