The new beer is a barrel-aged beverage brewed with Kentucky-sourced pumpkin and spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale has a 10% ABV rating and will be available to purchase for a limited period in areas of Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, Georgia, New York, Florida, Wisconsin and Illinois. The new ale will be sold on draft and in packs of four bottles.
Master brewer for Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co Ken Lee said: “Because barrel-ageing is our brewery’s specialty, we wanted to get creative with the idea of a seasonal programme by focusing on ageing all the brews in bourbon barrels, starting with the Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale.”
