Natural drinks brand Folkington’s has extended its range of drinks with the launch of Folkington’s Garden natural pressés in cans.
Available in four variants – ginger beer, rhubarb and apple, elderflower pressé, and lemon and mint – the drinks are all made from sparkling natural spring water and natural, not-from-concentrate ingredients. With an average of less than 100 calories each, the 250ml canned drinks are expected to have wider appeal, especially among on-trade customers that cannot sell glass bottles, Folkington’s said.
The new line-up joins Folkington’s range of juices, which are already available through independent and regional wholesalers in the UK, as well as parts of Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Folkington’s founder Paul Bendit said: “This is a huge and exciting leap forward for the Folkington’s brand which has grown ten-fold in the last four years. Cans are rapidly gaining popularity for premium drinks and are also friendly to the environment. This new range of sparkling drinks complements our range of fruit juices and provide more choice to our customers.”
Folkington’s Garden ginger beer combines West African ginger root with Sicilian lemon and English rhubarb; the elderflower pressé features English elderflowers and a splash of Sicilian lemon juice; the rhubarb and apple pressé is made from two different types of apples and Timperley Early rhubarb juice; and finally the lemon and mint pressé blends pure Sicilian lemon juice with English-grown mint.
With a shelf life of 18 months, they will retail for around £1.20 per can.
