US poultry company Foster Farms has unveiled a range of Smart Crust frozen pizzas, to meet consumer demand for low-carb products.
Containing only 4g of carbohydrate per serving, Smart Crust pizza is available in three variants: Four Cheese, Uncured Pepperoni, and Uncured Bacon Club.
According to the California-based brand, its Smart Crust is made from Foster Farms chicken breast, egg whites and cheese, instead of flour, and is Keto Certified before the addition of toppings.
Pizzas from Foster Farms’ Smart Crust range are said to contain 25g of protein per serving and are free from gluten.
The family-owned company offers a range of chicken and turkey products, including packaged lunchmeats, pre-marinated products, and on-the-go snacks.
“We know that eating healthy and cutting carbs is something more consumers are trying to do, including looking for gluten-free choices,” said Jennifer Corsiglia-Keim, marketing director for Foster Farms.
“Finding delicious low-carb options for foods we crave isn’t always easy. With Smart Crust, you get everything you love about pizza but without the carbs. This is pure pizza joy instead of pizza guilt.”
Smart Crust is now available in the frozen pizza section of select retailers nationwide in the US, including Kroger, Albertsons, and Safeway.
