Laid by white free-ranging hens, the eggs are not only visually impactful but also boast larger yolks than brown-shell free range eggs, making them a good choice for aspiring cooks and bakers.
All white eggs are being sourced from Happy Egg farms. Packaged in bright white cartons (so they’re distinguishable from Happy Egg’s popular yellow egg boxes), the packs feature a white-feathered version of The Happy Egg Co mascot, Freda Roam.
“The success of the trial launch of white eggs in December 2013 highlighted to us that consumer demand for these delicious eggs is high,” said head of brand marketing Rob Newell. “Interestingly, it used to be that only white eggs were sold in this country, so it feels great to bring back a classic ingredient that was once a staple in Britain. The fact that white eggs typically have larger yolks means they’re also a great choice for cooks who want to enjoy the very best when it comes to taste and flavour.”
Cartons are available in Tesco and retail from £1.99.
