Higgidy has unveiled a new quiche – “packed full of” festive cheeses – that is set to launch next month as part of the pastry brand’s seasonal collection.
The Cheeseboard & Fig Chutney Quiche features a Brussels sprout, chestnut crumb and creamy brie topping.
The new quiche combines seeded spelt shortcrust pastry with mature Cheddar and Tuxford & Tebbutt stilton in a free-range egg filling, alongside a layer of fig chutney.
In addition, the brand’s Brie & Cranberry Veggie Rolls and Very Merry Veggie Pie with braised cabbage are said to have been improved and will make a reappearance on shelves as part of the festive range.
Camilla Stephens, co-founder of Higgidy, said: “For us, this new limited-edition winter range is all about bringing veggies to the centre of the plate and celebrating them in all their glory”.
“We’ve listened to our consumer feedback carefully and tweaked our most popular recipes accordingly to bring them back for a second Christmas, as they proved so popular last year.”
The limited-edition festive range is suitable for vegetarians and will be available in Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Ocado from 8 September.
