Dow Water and Process Solutions has published a new infographic that demonstrates how advanced water and processing technologies can help lower operating costs, promote energy savings and reduce waste. It has been released to coincide with World Water Day on 22 March.
Dow said: “The United Nations has designated ‘water and sustainable development’ as the theme for World Water Day 2015, with a particular focus on industry and the water-energy-food nexus. Water is required for energy, energy is required for water, and both are required for food. Action in one area can directly impact the other. And according to the United Nations, by 2030 we will need 30% more water, 40% more energy and 50% more food. In order to reduce impact on increasingly scarce global resources, it is critical to address emerging needs in this water-energy-food nexus together.”
