The Italian Bevco Group has acquired 100% of Sodastream Professional from Sodastream International.
Sodastream Professional will immediately adopt the designation CEM Industries, which will remain a separate company, but controlled entirely by Bevco.
The CEM Industries brand already has a worldwide reputation for manufacturing a range of high-quality equipment and accessories for the beer, water and soft drinks industries in all sectors, including residential, office, and horeca. CEM Industries’ customers include brewers such as Carlsberg, Efes, Imbev, Baltika, and well-known brands for household water treatment, water refrigeration and carbonation, such as Electrolux.
“We are very pleased with the acquisition of Sodastream Professional, as we believe it has a special strategic value for our group,” said Roberto Marchetti, chairman of Bevco and now CEM Industries. “It will allow us to quickly reach a global leadership position in a dynamic market, always searching for innovation.”
Marco Celli also joins the new board. He founded Celli over 30 years ago, became the owner of CEM Industries from 1998 to 2011, and finally general manager of Sodastream Professional from 2011 until the acquisition.
Bevco Group, which includes Brewservice, Nuti, Sodax and CEM Industries, is in turn part of Waterline group, together with AMG, Plastik and Waterline.
