Kopparberg has launched new frozen formats of its strawberry and lime, and elderflower and lime varieties, as it seeks to exploit the growing trends towards frozen beverages.
Launching next month through a number of off-trade retailers, new Kopparberg frozen fruit cider “provides the ultimate mix of invigorating fruity flavours and absolute refreshment, and sits neatly alongside the brand’s current range of premium Swedish ciders”.
Packaged in metallic pouches, the brand has claimed that the new formats are the world’s first frozen cider products. Timed to coincide with summer, its introduction follows previous innovation in the frozen pouch category from brands such as WKD Original.
Kopparberg brand manager Jodie Alliss said: “The demand for a frozen variation of Kopparberg was outstanding so we’re thrilled to be able to launch the new product for summer 2015. Offering the ultimate summer refreshment and resonating with a slightly older audience, Kopparberg frozen fruit cider takes the brand’s offering to the next level. We’ll be supporting the launch with PR and social media from spring into summer.”
