Kraft said on Monday it opted for Uxbridge over Kraft’s base in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire – the European headquarters are in Zurich – because of its superior transport links and the availability of skilled labour.
“It’s hard when you have to pick one office,” said Richard Johnson, corporate affairs director of Kraft Europe. “The key thing when we build the head office is that we get equal numbers from both companies.”
Kraft hopes to have completed the move by the end of next year.
