Production equipment manufacturer Kronen has launched a new recipe weighing belt that provides food manufacturers with the option to weight recipes containing up to ten individual components.
Kronen’s new recipe weighing belt boasts simple operability and provides for safe and easy preparation of recipe mixtures, with the capacity to internally store up to 99 different recipes.
The current weight of the component and the target weight are indicated by light signals and a display on the touch panel. The operator confirms the weight by a stable foot switch and immediately receives the weight of the next component. According to the weight of the last component, the product is discharged to the left or right by pressing the foot switch. As soon as the belt is empty, the next batch can be weighed.
The recipe weighing belt can be operated in two basic modes: in the first mode, the contents will be transferred to a slope conveyor, while the second mode allows the weighing belt to be combined with a slope conveyor for transferring the mixture into a washing machine or on to a packaging line, for instance.
The weighing function is carried out by four stainless steel bending beam type load cells, the German company said.
