The new drink is made with natural flavours, and contains less sugar and calories than traditional sodas and sports drinks.
What makes Kwass’Up unique is its kvass base. Kvass has been enjoyed in Russia and Eastern Europe for centuries as a tonic, digestive aid and natural energy drink.
Kwass’Up is made using a traditional malting process that begins with whole grains such as rye and barley. The process of malting partially breaks down nutrients so they are absorbed by the body easier and faster. When the product is consumed, the accelerated digestion is responsible for a natural boost of energy, and without any additives or caffeine.
Packaged in 2-litre plastic bottles and 16oz aluminium bottles, the drink is available in three flavour variations: Traditional, Ginger and Cranberry.
The product will launch in New York’s Tri-State area and establish national distribution by the end of 2013. Though it’s a premium product, Kwass’Up will be priced on par with similar beverages.
