Lithuanian dairy producer Vilkyškių Pieninė has launched a range of three new yogurt desserts, which all contain crispy roasted buckwheat.
Featuring an untapped nut texture and surprising taste, the luxurious Vilvi Murr desserts are available in dried plum, dried fig and caramel varieties – all combined with the superfood buckwheat. The roasted buckwheat has a “pleasant, soft but crunchy structure” reminiscent of nuts, and combines favourable taste properties with numerous purported benefits for the body. Buckwheat is said to be valuable for its vitamins, minerals, fibre and positive effect on digestion, Vilkyškių Pieninė said.
It also claimed that the new product range was “a modern classic, subtle and very tasty”. Their superior taste profile “will leave no one indifferent”, it said.
Vilkyškių Pieninė is a dairy based in the southwestern Lithuanian town of Vilkyškių – 130 miles northwest of Lithuania’s capital city, Vilnius, and 55 miles southeast of the coastal city of Klaipeda. The Vilvi brand produces a range of cheeses, yogurts and milk drinks – including drinking yogurts, kefir and Yoga functional yogurts.
