UK brand Little Moons is releasing a new limited-edition mochi ice cream range featuring typical British flavours, including a fish and chips variant.
The three new flavours reportedly pay homage to the most popular Great British tastes of summer and include Fish & Chips, Eton Mess and Candy Floss.
Offering a sweet and salty combination, Fish & Chips mochi bites are said to feature ice cream with a flavour reminiscent of salty chips (with a mere hint of vinegar), ‘studded’ with chocolate chips and encased in a mochi dough decorated with a white chocolate fish.
The Eton Mess variety aims to offer a more “indulgent sweet treat” with strawberry ice cream and meringue pieces; while Little Moons says its Candy Floss mochi bites will transport consumers to the fairground with their ‘creamy, pale pink’ taste and look.
“We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create a range of interesting British flavours that are synonymous to UK summer time,” said Howard Wong, co-founder of Little Moons.
“We hope that making them available through our newly launched ecommerce site will make it even easier for shoppers to get their hands on the newest flavours, as well as provide another stockist to purchase the wider portfolio.”
The three new varieties join Little Moons’ mochi portfolio which includes flavours such as Honey Roasted Pistachio, Creamy Coconut and Vegan Tropical Passionfruit & Mango.
Little Moons’ new limited-edition ice cream mochi bites will go on sale on the brand’s website on 5 July.
