Mexican smoked chilli brand Gran Luchito has announced new distribution in the Netherlands, Australia and US.
In the Netherlands, Albert Heijn have backed the brand by stocking Gran Luchito’s smoked chilli mayo and ketchup in 450 of their stores, marking the first major listing for the range in continental Europe.
Meanwhile, in Australia, the range has gone on sale in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane outlets of Simon Johnson Fine Foods, part of the national food distributor group Manassen Foods. Gan Luchito added that the group would announce new listings in the near future.
And, on the other side of the planet, gourmet deli and grocer Dean and Deluca has recently starting stocking the brand’s smoked chilli paste, mayo and honey in all of their New York stores, as well as their branches across the country.
Fergus Chamberlain, who started the brand on an East London market stall after noticing a gap in the market for premium Mexican flavours back in 2012, said of the listings announced today: “The UK trade have given Gran Luchito the most fantastic response over the past two years. It’s only thanks to their amazing support that we’ve arrived at this exciting milestone today. Mexican food continues to be a trend and we’re currently working on exciting growth plans for both the UK and further afield.”
