Nerdy Nuts has released an Australian dessert-inspired peanut butter flavour to aid disaster relief in Australian wildfires.
According to the company, all proceeds will go towards Wires Wildlife Emergency Fund, with an overall goal of donating $10,000 to the cause.
Lamington is an Australian cake covered in chocolate sauce and coconut flakes and Nerdy Nuts says this flavour mixes well with peanut butter.
At 180 calories per serving, the peanut butter contains 7g of protein.
Based in South-Dakota, Nerdy Nuts is specialised in homemade peanut butter.
The new charity flavour adds to Nerdy Nut’s portfolio of freshly ground peanut butters that include holiday flavours cinnamon roll and gingerbread, amongst white chocolate and butterscotch.
Co-founder of Nerdy Nuts Erika Peterson said: “We focus on fun, family and flavourful peanut butter.”
Lamington Chocolate Coconut Peanut Butter is available on Nerdy Nuts’ website for $12.
