Nestlé Waters has invested CHF 25 million (€21 million) to modernise the bottling facility of its Henniez brand in Henniez, Switzerland.
The investment will pay for the installation of a new production line, which will replace two older production lines at the facility.
A fruit juice and flavoured water production space will also be introduced at the facility, in order to meet changing consumer demands.
Nestlé claims the new production line will increase the production efficiency of the site, and in 2019 the operations of a second production site in Henniez will be consolidated into the main plant as part of the upgrade.
The investment forms part of Nestlé Water’s H2Orizon 2020 programme, which will focus on three areas – Innovation, Efficiency and Ecology – in order to create flexible and competitive production solutions ‘to respond effectively to client and customer expectations’.
Alessandro Rigoni general director of Nestlé Waters Switzerland said: “Thanks to this investment, we reinforce the Henniez production site and equip it for the future development of our strong brands.
“We have established an exemplary partnership with the most important actors of the region, notable with the ECO-Broye environmental project, which protects Henniez’ water resources. And we will continue on this path in the future.”
