“At first glance, it looks like an ordinary wine bottle, especially in isolation,” he says. “The shape, glossy surface and traditional green tint, plus the graphics and positioning was indicating a reliable wine matching everyday homeware. Great graphics actually, but when you pick it up you realise it’s PET.
“The shape is similar to the Bordeaux shoulder and wines of southern Europe generally; same height as a conventional 75ml glass wine bottle, but with a subtle softening of the shoulder to maximise width, which is where the major size difference to glass is. Add to that a screw closure, plus warm weather and this pack is ideal for barbecues, picnics and outdoor living and on-the-go generally.”
