Nut butter brand Pip & Nut will continue its success by rolling out its 30g squeeze packs across 350 new Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.
The listings extension follows the successful launch of the Pip & Nut jars into 473 Sainsbury’s stores at the end of 2015 and marks a new positioning for the brand in the healthy snacking aisle.
Next month also sees a new listing for the brand with Holland and Barrett, which Pip & Nut said illustrated how the popularity of nut butters is continuing to soar in the UK. The honey cinnamon cashew butter and coconut almond butter jars will launch into 509 stores and online, along with 30g single squeeze packs of the additional three flavours: peanut butter, almond and coconut almond.
Pip & Nut founder Pip Murray said: “We’re so pleased to have the ongoing support of Sainsbury’s and look forward to our perfectly portioned squeeze packs taking the snacking aisle by storm this April. Holland & Barrett was a natural next step for us, and so we’re delighted to be launching with them next month. With both retailers stocking our squeeze packs, along with the jars, it illustrates how people are starting to look differently at nut butters and seeing them only not as an occasional spread but as a protein source, nutrient-rich ingredient and on-the-go snack.”
Sioned Read, Sainsbury’s buyer – homebaking and snacking, canned and packaged, continued: “We see Pip & Nut squeeze packs as a great opportunity for a new variant in snacking, for those customers who do not want fruit and nuts but still want a hit of energy on the go.”
